Group Activity
Group Activity is a component and plugin which will transform your group pages into something your community users will enjoy using. Group Activity adds a unique activity stream to each and every group, allowing users to see all activity which occurs within the group. Taking inspiration from sites such as Facebook, the Activity stream will also include a share feature. The share feature allows users who are part of the group, to share messages, URL's and photos. These can then be shared into the groups activity for other group users to see. Another feature is the Comment and Like. This adds Comment and Like buttons under each activity, to allow your users to interact with all activity, so if your users use Facebook, they will soon recognise this feature. Installation is easy. The product will install a Component and Plugin. After install you just visit the component page, select your Jomsocial template, and click patch. All Backend settings are then in the Plugins backend. We also have documentation on how to easily manual patch any Jomsocial Custom template. Share: Share Message: Instantly share a message into the activity stream. Share URL: Share a URL, which will then attempt to automatically capture the URL's title, Description and a thumbnail (Just like Facebook) Share Image: Found an interesting image? Share the Image URL straight into the Activity for other users to see. Comment and Like: Comment: Adds a commenting feature to all activity, letting users interact and comment on either their own or other users activity. Like: Adds a Like feature to all activity, letting users like activity. Notifications: Backend settings allow you to enable/disable E-Mail notifications, for when someone comments or likes your activity. Activity: Group Activity: We have worked the Group activity to work perfectly with the main Activity stream. This means there are no conflicts, and any Shared activity will also get displayed in the main Jomsocial Activity, by a Link. EG.
